Davidson Nature Preserve – committed to preserving Davidson’s Nature environment while giving people a place to explore nature and wildlife.
Lake Norman State Park – a great place to hike, bike, camp, and more. There’s also a beach where you can swim, sunbathe, and paddleboard.
Jetton Park – 104 acre lakefront park with picnic sites, tennis courts, walking trails, gazebos, sunning and playgrounds.
Legion Park – features include a large playground, walking trails, baseball, and a batting cage
Mountain Creek Park – 606 acre park with 19 miles of trails, adventure playground, mountain bike skills course, pickleball courts, a dog park, fishing pier, and a canoe/kayak launch.
Ramsey Creek park – waterfront park covers 46 acres and features a public swimming access area, boat launching and docks, a playground, picnic shelters, nature trails, and a fishing pier.
The Emerald Necklace – a 13+ mile loop that will encircle Cornelius and provide connections to Davidson and Huntersville. When complete, the Emerald Necklace will be one of the largest connected greenways in North Carolina allowing pedestrians and cyclists to navigate the entire circumference of the town through a network of greenways and paved paths.
